1. Description of Service

Acolyte AI is an advanced AI storytelling platform that provides:

• AI-powered character role-playing and narrative generation
• Multiple AI engine options (Lite and Pro)
• Credit-based usage system
• Integration with third-party applications like SillyTavern and RisuAI

2. User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old to use our service
• One account per user is permitted

Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at our discretion for violations of these terms.

3. Usage Guidelines

Acceptable Use

• Use the service for creative writing, role-playing, and storytelling purposes
• Respect intellectual property rights of others
• Follow community guidelines and ethical AI usage principles

Prohibited Activities

The following content and activities are strictly prohibited:

• Content involving minors in sexual or violent contexts
• Non-consensual acts or hate speech
• Real-person deepfakes or impersonation
• Generating harmful, offensive, or illegal content
• Attempting to reverse engineer or hack the service
• Using the service for spam, harassment, or malicious purposes
• Sharing account credentials or API keys
• Circumventing usage limits or credit system

NSFW content is permitted for adult users only. We use automated filters and manual review to detect violations. Retries on refused prompts still count as credits.

3.1 Enforcement

Violations of these terms may result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of remaining credits. Illegal content may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

4. Credits and Billing

Credit System

• Credits are required to use our AI services
• Lite engine uses 1 credit per interaction
• Pro engine uses 2 credits per interaction
• Additional charges may apply for complex interactions
• Credits roll over indefinitely with active subscription; pause plan = credits frozen until reactivation

Payment Terms

• All payments are processed securely through Coinbase Commerce
• Failed payments may result in plan suspension
• No refunds on used credits; 7-day trial window for plans

5. Intellectual Property

Our Content

You retain ownership of your inputs and AI-generated outputs for personal and commercial use. We retain a non-exclusive license to use this content solely for service improvement purposes. We do not use your data for training AI models.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you input into our system. We do not store or retain your conversations, prompts, or any AI-generated responses for future use.

6. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your data.

7. Limitation of Liability

We prohibit illegal content and use reasonable safeguards, but users are solely responsible for inputs/outputs. Acolyte AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Loss of data or content
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Third-party actions or content generated by users

You agree to defend us against claims from your use.

8. Service Availability

While we strive for high availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect service availability.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or through our platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, CA. Class action lawsuits are not permitted.
